Eliminating Poverty Housing, One Family At A Time

Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian organization. We are dedicated to eliminating substandard housing worldwide and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Our ministry was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, decent place to live in dignity and safety.

The Lincoln/Lancaster County chapter of Habitat for Humanity is one of over 1,700 affiliates of Habitat for Humanity International in the United States. Community-level Habitat for Humanity offices act in partnership with and on behalf of Habitat for Humanity International. Each affiliate is an independently run, nonprofit organization who coordinates all aspects of Habitat home building in its local area—fund raising; building site selection; partner family selection and support; house construction; and mortgage servicing.
