Nancy began volunteering with Habitat in Lincoln during the mid-1990's while president of her own construction company, at the time the only woman-owned homebuilding company in Lincoln. As a volunteer, she organized the first "Women Build" in Lincoln, and arranged for construction skills training classes for women. Nancy's volunteer efforts evolved to include fundraising, and, in 1999, she joined the Lincoln/Lancaster County Habitat as Executive Director.
