Habitat homeowners are chosen based on their need for housing, level of income, and willingness to partner with Habitat. These families have incomes below 50% of the medium income for Lancaster County and Habitat is the only program that makes homeownership possible for them. The families work more than 400 hours each building the homes as their down payment.
